Because Theatre is richer with everyone in the audience!
See the classic tale by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, and its dense cast of characters in a different way. Award winning theatre teacher and classical trained actor, George Younts annually presents a one-man adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol in a Goodwill Tour around South Carolina during the Holiday Season.
This family friendly, bare bones production of classic literature aims to bring the wealth of the Arts to all during the Holiday Season regardless of location or economic means. It tours, at little or no cost, to audiences with limited or no access to the arts or where live theatre is not frequently thriving in or easily accessible to.
The first tour year was 2007 and ever since it has had an annual five to fifteen show performance schedule. It has been seen at over 70 different performances sites with many returning engagements.
The production presents the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his nocturnal journey into the true spirit of Christmas in one hour. It has been performed in schools, retirement communities, churches, hospitals, centers for the elderly, classrooms, low income housing residences, cafeterias, prisons, shelters, civic halls, gymnasiums, theatres and in a Deaf Theatre Duet version along with its yearly proceeds going to charity.
The 2024 Tour has no public performances. However, feel free to join
